Here's an unusual piece of antique pottery that has the look of Spatterware. It looks to be redware with its glaze appied with whimsy...spattered and brushed on without rhyme or reason. It does have a base color that appears to be a mix of yellow and red-orange. On top of that, there are randomly applied shades of blue/gray, green, and brown. The interior is that yellow-orange-red blend without any spatter. It shows age and has some crazing in the glaze. It came out of an old home and spent generations in a cellar so it could use a cleaning. We sell our things in the same condition we find them in to share the thrill of getting a find! This pitcher measures 10 1/2 inches tall, has a 3 5/8 inch base diameter, and an opening that measures 4 1/2 inches across including the spout. It is in excellent condition!
