We have only a couple of these extremely rare, bulbous, 2-handled pots in stock right now. Circa 1860, these pots were used as food vessels and not many have survived simply because they were everyday household items used in country homes that saw heavy use and were often broken, chipped or heavily damaged. Finding one today is a feat in itself; finding one with just a few flaws is incredible. This pot is in excellent condition! No cracks or serious flaws. Wonderful, mottled glaze that stops short of the bottom of the pot. The underside is unglazed as well. This piece of pottery has a great, bulbous shape and shows plenty of age. Museum quality item!
